Often, resolution to infertility is mistakenly perceived as a successful pregnancy. Finding resolution comes in many different options, paths and most of all, having a feeling of empowerment with the choice you ultimately decide is best for you and/or your partner. An infertility diagnosis can be utterly devastating then it is followed up with the immense pressure of making difficult decisions as to whether to move forward with beginning treatment, moving from treatment to other options such as adoption, donor, surrogacy or choosing to live without children.
Either way finding resolution to infertility is a difficult choice. The life you had envisioned before knowing you had infertility should be mourned and transition through the stages of grief in each person’s own time. Coming to a decision that enough is enough, is one of self-perseverance and comes with time to process.
